Tramlines are intentional unplanted rows through the field at set intervals, used for the application of ...
The advantages of tramlines are:
Reduced crop damage from wheel tracks
Reduced chances of disease from tire damage
Seed savings by not planting tramline tracks
Reduced operator fatigue
Reduced compaction by multiple passes
through same track
Ensures precise application of chemicals
eliminating skipping or lapping
Facilitates night time spraying
The tramline clutches are actuated by electric solenoids and are fairly easy to retrofit onto a conventional grain drill.
We offer two tramline kits for the John Deere 1990 and Case/IH 500T Air Seeders. The one pictured above uses diverter Y's and diverts the seed from the tram track to the adjacent rows. The other system uses slide gates that stop the flow of seed to the meter to create the tram track.
TramRite Air Gates are installed on seed distribution tower to stop flow of seed to produce tramlines.
Tramlines can be easily added to corn and bean planters with TruCount air clutches, AgLeader SureStop clutches or John Deere RowCommand clutches.
